- Grease sides of 9"x13" pan with with butter.
- Put the rest of the butter in the pan.
- Put pan and butter into a 350° oven to melt.
- Remove pan and melted butter from the oven.
- Spread the other ingredients evenly in the pan in the order listed except the condensed milk.
- Pat the layered ingredients down somewhat firmly.
- Pour the condensed milk evenly over all the ingredients and keep the milk away from the edges of the pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350° until the sides are beginning to brown and the center is somewhat bubbly.
- Cool on a rack 10 minutes.
- Loosen edges and cut into desired size while warm.
- Remove the bars from the pan when they are completely cool.
